I wanted to close as a duplicate of an actual feature request to change it that was actually declined, but chose the wrong one.
The FAQ has a section on why the 6-character threshold exists, and per policy, meta feature requests that go against SE principles can be closed as dupes of questions that explain that principle.
@SonictheK-DayHedgehog done, but: 1) It's polishing a turd, the question will be Roomba'd soon anyway, and 2) I didn't remove your suggested duplicate because three other users also chose it, don't want to go against them as well. Why didn't you retract the close vote and deleted your comment?
