@ShadowKeepsSocialDistance the only games I played where Nemesis and Rollerball both on the MSX. I played Prince of persia for a bit but I was often distracted soon enough because I wanted to understand how they moved a sprite or how they refreshed a screen or how they stored fonts, etc. I was more often found with the debugger open in a game then anything else.

@rene huh. lol. Well, usually I didn't mind or looked for things, except one game that won't let me play unless I put its disk - I didn't have its disk - so I used a memory scanner software (totally forgot which), scanned the memory used by the game, and edited it to think the disk was inside. It worked. My first and only hacking experience, to be honest. :D

I just changed a bit, after searching for string "disk", as far as I can remember.

Well, I was removed from the computer room during my study when I was found scanning memory for "interesting" info ... And I was once interrogated by the Head of the sysadmins what I did to bring the mini computer down to its knees.

@ShadowKeepsSocialDistance No, but I did gain root access to the student network once, by accident. I scrambled to make a few quick changes that I deemed harmless but useful down the line and then reported to the sysadmins that the network was wide open.

I think that was Grey Hat Hacking ...
