/cc @Sam ^
This is obvious malware.

@ShadowWizard yea, but that won't show hyperlinked ads in my browsers

@DroidDev might be.... still, example of "trusted" software throwing malware into your computer. Can't tell what other crap other programs will put...

@ShadowWizard yea, I think I kinda remember what gave me that malware. I was trying to install something, that I know for sure. Don't clearly remember what

@DroidDev oh yeah lol you managed to have that kind of BS installed lol XD

@DroidDev tru dat!

@ClemensHimmer hugh?

12:39 PM
@ShadowWizard i fckn hate SQL

@ClemensHimmer why?
SQL Server, or SQL in general?

@ShadowWizard agh idk man
i just have a utter hate whenever i see a mysql database
why the fuck would i write a query
just no

ssp.zryydi.com
3hub.com
these are two websites that show ads @ShadowWizard @Sam
opening them doesn't open anything though

Sam
Right

just fake urls urls, that keep redirecting to original site

Sam
12:45 PM
Weird
Did you install anything new over the past week or so?

yes, I just remembered that I installed something, don't remember what, and its not showing in applications either

Sam
Sounds like a potential culprit.

now I have to find a way to remove it

Sam
Just deleting the dir should do it
(It may have created other files/dirs elsewhere though.)

which dir?

Sam
12:50 PM
The one in which it's installed?
I guess you haven't found that yet...

@Sam yea, working on that now
mac is hard

Sam
@DroidDev k, sorry I can't be of much help here. I haven't worked with macs for a good few years.

@ClemensHimmer well, to... get data? ;)

@Sam its ok, you've already helped :)

@ShadowWizard shut up

12:56 PM
@DroidDev yeah, just dummy domains

@ShadowWizard not able to find its location is quite painful for me :(

@Unihedron thanks, polite as ever
@DroidDev you see those ads on other sites except SO?

@ShadowWizard yea, they have now started to appear on other sites too

SAP HANA is an in-memory, column-oriented, relational database management system developed and marketed by SAP SE. SAP HANA was previously called "SAP High-Performance Analytic Appliance". == History == To create SAP HANA, SAP SE developed or acquired technologies, including TREX search engine (in-memory column-oriented search engine), P*TIME (in-memory OLTP Platform acquired by SAP in 2005), and MaxDB with its in-memory liveCache engine. In 2008, teams from SAP SE, working with Hasso Plattner Institute and Stanford University, demonstrated an application architecture for real-time analytics and...
@Clem for you ^
@DroidDev :(

I just got the application installation history, but it doesn't show any suspicous application either

Sam
1:03 PM
@DroidDev :)

@Dro pretty sure you already been there, but did you read this? macworld.co.uk/how-to/mac-software/…
Lots of possibly useful stuff there

yea, but not for me. That malware is something else. It just shows those definite ads

@ShadowWizard nah man fuck queries, i don't wanna have a string interpreted and whatsoever, i want a driver and handle stuff programatically

@DroidDev hmm.... so what about this? thesafemac.com/arg
@ClemensHimmer so write your own database.... ;)

@ShadowWizard nah

1:12 PM
No associated word found for nah.

gotta look into that stuff deeper soon

I think SQL is rather good to have, without it every database would come with its own funky syntax.

@ShadowWizard yup, reading manual instructions of removing malware from that site

@ShadowWizard idk man.. i just really hate the idea of sending a string to a interpeter and all that..
why not just something like
var DB = driver.connect(whatever);
var collection = DB.collection("tasks");
collection.insert(w/e);
collection.find(w/e);
mongo is actually document based, so it does that.. but didn't quite get it to run with the one, two hours i spent with it

@ClemensHimmer yeah, MongoDB looks like what you're after then, e.g. docs.mongodb.org/manual/reference/sql-comparison
db.users.insert(
   { user_id: "bcd001", age: 45, status: "A" }
)

1:17 PM
@ShadowWizard shit i almost get a boner of that.. that is worlds better than SQL

rofl!
Hope you're not nearby any people, @Clem :D

@ShadowWizard i hid it

@ClemensHimmer so, it's not so big after all, if you can hide it.... :P
busted!

@ShadowWizard but how is SQL (aside from the fact a relationial DB is sometimes better, of which most use SQL) better than that? that is straight up syntax sugar, no it's damn syntax cocaine
@ShadowWizard under .. the .. table?
you probably got those tables if you think it small

@ClemensHimmer Less room for mistakes, for one, by having a more "strict" approach - that specific case isn't a good example for that, but from quick look I saw that MongoDB does not enforce anything - so it's easier to make mistakes that would be hard to debug later. Personally, I prefer to write more and work harder, if it means easier debugging and less room for mistakes.
@ClemensHimmer huh, that's cheating! :D

1:30 PM
@ShadowWizard yeah, that's a feature actually.. you can have {name:"timmy" sex: "boy"} and {firstName: "sandy" gender: "female"} in the same collection ^^
as i said, sometimes a relational table q/ restirictions is better, but a JSON oriented DB... just straight away exctasy

@ClemensHimmer yup, then merging them can become real headache when you want to normalize the database

@ShadowWizard well, tbh i don't care about that at all, i just want the damn object model, i get the worst headache from those scattered tables, i seriously get angry if i have to do something with a big MySQL DB
the only time something accesses my DB is when my API has something to insert/collect, and i'm gonna check for anything that might not be perfectly fine to insert anyways, soooo....

1 hour later…
2:38 PM
Yay! My 424th bronze badge on MSE!

@ShadowWizard Get a life.

Life without bronze badges are boring, @JoEr
