When adding a button to SharePoint ribbon you can specify an image for it. That image can be a custom one, or you can reference one of the default icons
icons comes in two formats
16 and 32 px
default icons of the same size are stored in a single png.
basically it is a "spritesheet" approach, you specify the x,y position of the icon you need.

@ShadowWizard and even better..... you were actually right. There was that kind, yellowish part of me that hoped that they have some code that maps the "(il)logical" x,y position to the actual icon position.... but noooo..... they just produce cropped icons

@ShadowWizard haha. In India, where I live, We have four seasons in one year(summer, winter, spring and autumn). On the beach side, its always summer. In some other hilly areas of India, its always winter. In my area, we have many rivers flowing. But, Indian desert is also just at 5-7 hours stretch from my home.

@DroidDev didn't know that, always thought all four seasons exist anywhere, just for different period of times. So what you have most in your place? Summer?
@Mooseman umm... actually you did say it 6 words before that one so it's illegal in WAG (need at least 10 words between same words) - no big deal, but the bot was correct.
(if and when I'll add score that isn't just raw count of words, this will cause some sort of penalty, but until then you're safe ;))
@ShadowWizard I think all of them are there for equal amount of times. Not much difference. Though, we usually say its either summer or winter. Because, we don't feel other seasons in terms of temperature ;)
