then before you notice, you start to think things such as "if I use this word, will people think X?", "should I phrase things this way in my post? Will that get downvote?", etc

There are a lot of legitimate questions that I could ask on SO, but I already know some of them will get a delete flag or downvote to oblivion, so I don't ask them

I'm not saying that you have to do what I said above to get upvote/good reaction from your answers/questions, but, I'm instead saying that I ended up doing this mental process without noticing

lately, I think I started to really see the appeal of rubber ducking and making MRE.

instead of actually asking questions, I trick myself into just going to the page where you write your question and end up doing everything properly. Before I even think of hitting the button to post it, I find a clue or an answer

it doesn't always happen, but it happened enough times that I find it amazing how that works

the whole "yeah, it's because you explained your problem well enough" is true, but I feel like there something else to it that I can't quite put my finger on here
