@ShadowWizard > But it really amazes me why they don't fix it, or at least remove that date until they fix it.
I've been playing with something in my head the past few weeks, but it's taking longer than I expected (or rather, I'm going slower than expected): parsing stack exchange data dumps and analyse the growth of unfixed bugs and no-feedback feature requests vs number of fixed bugs and feature requests with feedback.
In addition to that, looking at all the big projects SO has done over the years, and how many of those actually made it into production.
Not as negative criticism against the team, but to try and put hard numbers next to the "feeling" I have
And as a healthy self-evaluation of the site/network with regards to the future

12:26 PM
@Stijn whoa, that's an admirable thing and would be great to see those numbers. While sometimes the lack of response from SE team irritates me, they're still x1000 times better than any other website I've ever seen, regarding user feedback, and how it can affect the site. :)
Hey @alex good to see you here! :)
Used to see you on MSE...

Yeah it also irritates me sometimes, but I don't want to spout criticism without having the data to back it up
hopefully I'll have some more spare time this month

2:27 PM
@ShadowWizard we have holidays for a week 1-7 january. So it's comfortable temperature in the house :) But car refused to start. Something happend with starter. Problem went away after warming on street.

@alexolut well, the fuel is liquid, so it probably froze...
(sorry, in my language "fuel" is also called "gas". Highly confusing! ;))

@ShadowWizard no ... petrol needs more negative tempatature to froze than -20C.
@ShadowWizard according to wikipedia it is about -72C

its just icicles forming in your tank
warming up will melt said icicles and tada fixed!

@alexolut huh, didn't know that. But then there're also water cooling the engine, no?

@ShadowWizard I don't mind, it's immortal anyway. :P

If a user can execute a command that crashes FOX 9000 in such a way that it keeps crashing immediately after a restart, they deserve a cleverness award.
o/ @GrenadesPlus

@ShadowWizard for cooling a special liquid is used. With freezing point much less than for water.

Q: "define:" oneboxing selects completely bogus data

R. Martinho FernandesI found this weird word, "burke", and decided to check it out. It turned out it was an alternative spelling of "berk". This is what define: berk in chat expanded to: So, according to that, "berk" as a noun can mean "a fool, prat, twit", or "berk", or "berk", or "berk". Wow, who would have thou...

@ber found a car for you!
@M.A.R. can you please try to see if this is fixed for you?
