@Makyen, Joachim: Resolved: see update :) Inbox notifications have always been buggy so maybe this should be closed as "status-declined"? It seems unlikely someone would devote resources to fixing something so trivial. — Quack E. Duck 24 secs ago

Hi Terry Mundy, welcome to the Stack Exchange Network Meta site! I'm not sure which search brought you here but the problem you describe will not be answered on this specific site. To get an expert's answer for the topic of your question you'll have to find and then re-post on the proper site. Check How do I ask a good question and What is on topic on the target site to make sure your post is in good shape. The post in the image is a recent question on ELL, but that isn't the only site I've observed this happening on. If you believe a link to the question would be helpful, I'll add it, but it doesn't seem like the color issue is related to any specific posts, just how they're accessed. — Quack E. Duck 23 secs ago

@αλεχολυτ PR reviews and production builds are manual. The PR review step is new with this process, but the builds were always manual, so no change in the process there. I'm not super happy about adding another step like that, but it's the best we can do at the moment. — Adam Lear ♦ 1 min ago

In truth, I'm not completely certain whether this problem has been resolved, but in my 11 years of activity on Stack Exchange, I've never seen it happen. Given the lack of activity here and similar lack of duplicate reports (bar one from the same time period), I'm inclined to believe this was resolved implicitly by a later change, or otherwise doesn't occur. If it does, I'd encourage someone to create a new report for this issue, documenting everything we know about when and why it happens. — Slate ♦ 26 secs ago

@Slate they can, just in different name. This has been renamed to Filtered Questions and is still available here. This question is actually the same as Support AND combinations of tags on the meta filters and RSS feeds, which IMO is better asked so if you can reopen this one and close it as duplicate of the other, it would be great. While I don't recommend it in this instance, redaction can be used by 2 moderators or a CM to add/remove a tag. That does not, however, maintain an accurate history for the post (i.e., once redacted, there's no way to determine what the change was, who made it, or when). For these tags, it's important to have an accurate history of adding/removing them. — Makyen 25 secs ago

I think practically - the update didn't really address this and the 'fundamental' underlying point, that that aspect of community culture was put aside and the arguments for and against it seem relevant. I can understand a status denied tag (which would be sad but technically correct) , but we're a far way from the need to remind people to trust each other least a little being 'no longer reproducible'. I'd say many of the issues brought up here explicitly and implicitly are still in play in general — Journeyman Geek 24 secs ago
