I am curious to know about the rules which Meta Stack Exchange moderators need to follow before featuring a post or removing the featured tag from a post.
For example, let's say that some maintenance post is posted by a Stack Exchange employee but they forgot to feature it. So can Meta Stack Exch...
yeah.. I know. Especially the quote that you have used "SE appointed us as moderators of this site. They didn't appoint us as arbiters over network-wide advertising."
I might be crossing my limits, but, if it is possible for you to talk to a CM (through private chatrooms) to handle the flag, it would be nice. I am not pressurising you. It's up to you to do it.
@Glorfindel Is there any post in MSE which talks about how regular users can request a post to be featured? I read some post about how regular users can request for adding status-review tag but nothing about featured tag.
@Glorfindel ok..
If the train of the thought is same, they could have declined the request..
@RandomPerson Not that I know of. As a moderator, I would ping a friendly CM in the Teachers' Lounge; as a regular user, I would just post a comment with a concise but convincing reason.
@RandomPerson they visit Meta frequently, but not the flag dashboard
@RandomPerson that would explain why I don't know about such a post :) You might want to ask it, but: perhaps wait a week or so, to avoid coming over as too pushy?
