but I assume its meant to be something like this :
$$PV^{\gamma}= cont. \implies \ln P + \gamma\ln V = \ln(const.)$$
Differentiating w.r.t $V$ $$\implies \frac 1 P \frac{dP}{dV} + \gamma\frac 1 V = 0 \implies \frac{dP}{dV}=-\gamma\frac P V$$
