@user770550 As others have commented, your question doesn't make that much of a case as to why it should be changed. In particular, it's missing specific examples of question links that could use more than five tags. Also, such duplicate marks are allowed per policy: on meta sites, feature requests that go against an SE principle can be closed as duplicates of questions which explain the principle.

I do agree that the tag limit should be increased on meta sites, as the required tag plus a potential status tag mean that effectively you can only have three "real" tags. But that's more of an edge case.
