Reading The Hobbit
I know it's fashionable to hate Peter Jackson movies, but I wanna see how justified that is.
The Dispossessed had lots of social commentary. It felt impersonal. I think I prefer Left Hand, which always had this personal feeling to it
I guess generally Winter and the time period where the story was set was much more interesting than Urras and Anarres. Besides, I think she more or less dodged the most interesting questions regarding personal responsibility and social conscience, and a fictional novel is not the place place to try to answer those anyway.

@M.A.R. It's pretty nice and rather down to Earth. Dislike for Hobbit "adaptations" is well founded.
Lotr films weren't bad as far as films go, but they were missing the point in many ways. Like every change from books made them only dumber, and there were lots of them
