Jimmy considered himself a failure in every aspect that mattered compared to Chuck, he would never have sought therapy for Chuck behind Chuck's back
Plus, things spiraled out of hand probably way too fast at the end of season 2 for any of the characters, including Chuck, to adequately process it. Like, the way they were in the first half of season 1, they had been like that for a year at least, and before that Chuck hadn't shown any sign of decline
