@Mithoron it seems that in my anger I killed Thor 4
NnnnñññooOOOoooOooOoOOOOO
I still might enjoy it because of familiarity with Taika's style

using divine powers to summon a new member to the room

@M.A.R. Ech, a lot can be forgiven in comedy. In some Strange pseudodramahorror - not so much
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar o.0

@Mithoron yeah the critics in Israel who reviewed Thor 4 said it's trying too hard to be both funny and serious in same time.

@amWhy hello! :)
@Mithoron O.o to you too! ;)

^^ PDF of Ursula LeGuin's short story: "The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas". Captivated me when I was 15 years old!

2:50 PM
@amWhy thanks, looking good, I've bookmarked it for future reading. :)
@amWhy 15 years old.... urgh... Dragon Lance....
tears of joy

It's one story included in a book of many short stories from U.LeG.

Yeah read my share of short stories as teenager, mostly Asimov and some others as well.

Thanks, @Shadow, for the invite.

@amWhy I read a lot of Le Guin's works, @M.A.R. read quite a bit too

The dispossessed is classic. I suspect I am older than you, @Shadow, and for sure, I know so wrt @Mithoron.
@Mithoron Awesome!

2:58 PM
Liked in particular Wizard of Earthsea, On High Marsh and Left Hand of Darkness

@Mithoron Indeed! I've read the first and the last!

@amWhy On High is a nice Earthsea short story.

@Mithoron Indeed.

I'm not sure I read Omelas, I heard about it, but probably missed it.

It was formative for me, @Mithoron, both as a philosopher, and in so many other ways. There is a series of YouTube videos in which Ursula is speaking here.

3:20 PM
@amWhy As far as philosophy is concerned it was rather P.K. Dick for me.
And recently The Good Place - a very nice and funny TV series.

3:59 PM
@amWhy might be, yes. I'm only 43, soon to be 44. ;)

4:13 PM
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar I am 49 and in 10 months, I start going backwards in age count! Hah! ;D

4:26 PM
@amWhy Nice! ;)
