@M.A.R. Seen The Old Guard... and it's so meh. Sure Theron does what she can, but it's like first episode of not so great TV series.

@Mithoron "Making movies for the X crowd" has become a major excuse to throw in pandering bullshit. I didn't expect much from it because I thought it was going to be pandering bullshit.
It's okay for women to be unapologetically badass in movies as much it was okay for men to be badass in Spaghetti Western movies.
But so-called 'feminist' movies are in fact about women protagonists that have to prove men wrong or have to be mean to other people because of some inherent moral superiority or crystal clear vision of how relationships work or . . .
I haven't watched it, so it's not fair to say I'm sure it was this, but the problem with most female leads is they're plagued by a sense of self-pity, and you know how much I've talked about that

BTW, it seems that recently everyone's experimenting with changing the superhero movie formula, and it has at least till now been at the expense of a fleshed out plot
When I dunno how the universe in question might work I cannot apply rules to predict or think about what happens or will happen so I'd have no choice but not find the movie thought-provoking
Seekrit old organization seems to fit that sort of thing, I dunno

@M.A.R. There's "A Good Kill" on TV but it looks like sermon on why are drones bad ;)

@Mithoron Hawke is your go-to actor for making preachy stuff sound human

Hah
