Yo
What if I tell you the people to blame aren't even working at SE?
Will it make any difference?

@ShadowTheBurningWizard Whenever I feel like yelling something at SE, I remember Catija works there.

@It'sOver true
And Yaakov is awesome too

The ones on the frontline are human, as in any war.

So... you're angry because they kicked Shog out?

But that was interesting, what are you implying @Sha?
@ShadowTheBurningWizard Not . . . angry. I got emotional, and my eyes welled up a tear or two, but I guess I'm just done.

7:42 AM
@It'sOver that SE is being held by its balls by group of external people that gave them $40M in the past.
aka Board of Directors.

No more activities on any sites, the ones I planned to do, the ones I scarcely but consistently did, commenting, reviewing.

And they make all the mess.

@ShadowTheBurningWizard Ah well, that I already know

@It'sOver so if SE itself is the victim, shouldn't we try to help it?

I had my slight hopes that as long as Shog is working here, there still an infinitesimal chance of the tides turning.
@ShadowTheBurningWizard Help it how? Meta is already seen as a bunch of assholes thanks to people that should know better.

7:45 AM
@It'sOver sticking around, keep the site going and clean-ish
Most likely MSE and non-SO sites will be shut down soon anyway, so let's make the most of them until this happens.
That's my motive.

I mean, I haven't had a real job in my life. I had been working in the pharmacy since I was 6, seriously. Doing stuff paid employees can't do well. But not a real job. And I still managed to muster enough professionalism not to feed the upright concerned citizens of the "inclusive" SE Inc. any ammo.
@ShadowTheBurningWizard That's venerable
But I've now crashed in the air of my own sighs.

Weird thing is, only now I'm not an adolescent, and only now will I be able to contribute content that I would probably be proud of later.

@It'sOver hmm? What do you mean?

But I was shot in the foot

7:49 AM
SE can be used by adolescents same way it can by 90 y/o people... what's the difference?

@ShadowTheBurningWizard Well, I haven't contributed much of anything really, have I. I have a few answers here and there, and that weird story about big cities and SO, but I have contributed very scarcely compared to people that have voices on their respective sites. People with everyone's utmost respect, the real 100k's of different sites.

@It'sOver still, much better than most others who don't give anything at all. But how being adult change that?

I'm not being modest or self-pitying, I just mean it objectively. Now that I have a clearer view of the world as a more adult person (which wouldn't have been possible without SE), and now that I know a few things and can put them to words in a better fashion, and aren't just randomly rambling, I'm just burnt out.
For example, I had in my mind that thing, about "information being so dispersed out in meta", and helping out new users with practical advice, rather than some inspirational Jeff Atwood quotes, ever since I wrote that question.

I'm sure you could do it as teenager too.... dude, you're more adult and smart than many adults I know, for years.
Physical age is nonsense.

"What kills meta" was a start. A very verbose start, to writing things about the realities of the meta culture and how to cope with them. Later posts would have become less verbose, more concise, and more enjoyable reads.
I even laid out a comprehensive map of what things new users would need to read and know about, rather than random posts tagged FAQ. In a sense, it was going to be a fairly impartial account of things on SE, as a response to "Why SO sucks", kinda sorta.

7:59 AM
@It'sOver and? Where is it now?

There was also my plans to help produce some canonical posts on Chem, and get back on helping ELL with moderation.
@ShadowTheBurningWizard The papers are still around, but drafts in digital files I deleted.
Yep, it's right in the desk's drawer.
But some time ago that new users misunderstand the culture and policy changed to new users are always right and the hordes of moderationist cultists should go get lost. Well, who am I writing for now? People so entitled and encouraged on their misinformed opinions that the rare advice that they did take is now an offense?

Well... I'll be happy to see you post it one day.

Don't let me put out your fire, let it ablaze!
But I guess I was planning something for SE 2014 not 2018.

True, it became crappy.
But still, we can improve even crappy places.
e.g. decorations in toilet room.
Great, now I have to go poop. I blame you!
:P

I'm not too sad now, just apathetic I guess. My abstaining from doing any main site activity is I guess my form of protest. Late, and definitely not when it was fashionable, but still worth airing my opinions, even if to a white wall, than having them echo inside me
@ShadowTheBurningWizard Happy defecating!

8:10 AM
@It'sOver I hear ya
I'm.... sorry and sad for the loss of your contribution to SE and to people in general as result, but see where it's coming from.
@It'sOver still didn't! And now it went away. :D
You defecated today, Mr. Over?
Couldn't you find a more pingable-friendly name?! @It's is.... lame. angry fist
:P

That's the point

8:50 AM
I did it!

YAAY

Yeah felt so good
You should try it too, you know.
