Holding up okay, @JourneymanGeek? Just want to stop in to say thanks for all the work you and the other mods have been doing. Eventually (I assume) the announcement will come and everybody will calm down a little.

@AndrewMyers I'll survive. Though I'm pretty annoyed at a bunch of folks

Kind of goes back to everything else going on. A lot of people feel hurt and betrayed already, so as soon as somebody leaks something, it's kind of like gasoline on a fire.
I would say something about at least the discussion seems calm, but obviously I don't see all the stuff you have to see.

@AndrewMyers the frustration is folks have incomplete information, shared by someone I suspect has some degree of unwillingness to work with others, and we can't really correct it

I'm surprised a forbidden question was allowed to stay open long enough for me to feel safe answering it.
safe-ish :)

Erf. See above.
And honestly - people are trying to be too clever getting around a "forbidden" question when all they need to do is wait a few days

@JourneymanGeek Will the questions be undeleted once the official announcement is out?

@SonictheReinstateMonica-hog no real point IMO
The initial leak never should have happened

I considered flagging the question in question, but I decided that the moderators must have known about it by the time I saw it and that I didn't actually know if it crossed any boundaries or not, since I haven't seen the leak in question.

@rockwalrus-stopharmingMonica I'd say the current iteration is opinion based
but basically cause its been stripped of any context to be kept viable
and I'm certain we'll have a "why was foo closed" post

without a doubt, but so is 99.9% of meta :)

For the record, the leaker is obviously either deliberately misrepresenting things or has a vastly different take than every other mod I've seen talk in the room.
and that's one reason the older iterations had to go
@rockwalrus-stopharmingMonica eh, no
Meta isn't just for drama

> Meta isn't just for drama
fixed...

@JourneymanGeek I agree that the prior post you deleted should be deleted (about whether the leak was real), but I disagree with the later one. That post doesn't even mention a leak; it just asks about it hypothetically.
If I were the one making the post, I would have added a note at the top, "yes, I'm aware that there's been a leak, but for the sake of this post, let's ignore it".

@SonictheReinstateMonica-hog and yet the whole point was to bring up the leak again
hence the "Excessive trying to be clever"
@SonictheReinstateMonica-hog now lets say I started talking hypothetically about some of the things I could be hypothetically doing at work - convered under a NDA or the OSA....
I don't think that arguement would fly
