It is regrettable that some people have greater risk for negative interaction than others merely for sharing a truth about their person. I wish this wasn't true. However, leaving SE to imitate real life, where personal offense from only words is not usually grounds to excise punishment on the offender, is probably the best course. For me, I cannot favor extra measures to prevent the offense of one group, when risk of offense is a prerequisite to idea sharing and the rest of us with unpopular ideas manage to get by. In case your wondering, the popular belief today favors trans belief. So even with the obvious popular position, such measures would have us snuff out opposing ideas?
