@HostileFork On principle alone the latter is important before we even discuss the former, particularly as it is infeasible to get every contributor's feedback (and unilateral agreement) on the former
@KonradRudolph Not sure whether you're joking but are you suggesting this would be the first time SE announced a sweeping change that was rejected almost immediately by the community by pointing out gaping flaws in its logic? It wouldn't even be the first time they've done something illegal (see: leaking emails to Amazon, deliberately, to save 30 mins' work)
