@Martin think it works in se.com chat, but MSE got its own domain.

@ShaWiz Yes, I know that if you're suspended on Meta Stack Exchange, you cannot chat on this chatserver.
However, if you are suspended on one site in Stack Exchange network and it is not the parent site for your chat user, you can still use any room on the Stack Exchange chatserver.
AFAIK there are three chatservers - SO, MSE, SE.

Of course, there is also possibility to ban user from chat - regardless of suspension on any site.
Still, I've seen some threads where several user expressed the opinion that it is a bit unfortunate that suspension on a single site means that user cannot chat everywhere.

Journeyman GeekAs things are now, site suspensions for a user's parent site result in chat suspensions. It works fine, unless of course, a malcontent has a different site as his parent and pops over to troll you. It's happened a few times, and while we can usually deal with it, it seems odd that in theory a use...

For the time being, I'll probably stick to my current parent user. (In the hope that I am behaving well enough and I'm not in danger of getting suspended.)
