Hi. I've been wanting to ask a few questions.

Sure, go ahead.

I've been told to ask the mod team about this, and this being the only medium I could find.

Well, you can also raise a post flag on one of your own posts, but they come with a character limit (also for the replies we can send). So yeah, this is perhaps the best venue.

Well, it's not really relevant to a post, so I would assume that wouldn't be ideal
So, my question is: Why was my account on chat.se suspended by a moderator.
I've looked through the events recently occured in the one chat I could think that it might be related to, and there was a message from a moderator. (Attempts to link to room transcript, fails, room must have gone inactive)
Kappa and Friends, as I recall.
the message stated that users who were found to be supplying accounts to other users with bans would be suspended / deleted.

Makes sense to me. If you have another account that's suspended or deleted, and are using this one to avoid it... that's not okay.

10:17 PM
The only thing I noted was that I hadn't been pinged by a moderator nor received a message about it.
Oh, no. This one is linked to all the others by main.
Didn't want to risk further infraction in attempting to understand what happened.

I'll see what I can find, but as you weren't suspended on a site I moderate... I think your best bet would be to use 'contact us' and not contact a MSE mod, but SE itself. Community managers can look into that stuff way easier than I can.

I did that a long time ago. Nothing.
about 100 days. Easily long enough to do a short history analysis.
Also, I wasn't aware you weren't a CM
You were marked as a moderator in meta chat, I thought only CM's were marked as moderators on MSE
But... my request is simple enough: Can you look, or ask a CM, to look into if there was a logged reason for why?
@Tinkeringbell Are you or are you not a CM?

@TheOneWhoMade That's... a long time ago. I can ask around, but I'm making no promises. I think if you haven't heard back, there must've been a valid reason and I'm getting only your side of the story here... so it's hard.

Yeah, I know it's hard to do it with only my side.

@TheOneWhoMade I'm not. A few weeks ago, MSE got 'regular moderators' too. meta.stackexchange.com/questions/318630/…

10:24 PM
But IIRC the mod that posted the message in chat was Rob
Oh. I'll have to check meta more often.
And ArtOfCode was present also.
Well, I wasn't suspended on a site any mod moderates. It was on chat.
@Tinkeringbell If you could ask Rob to look into it, that would be nice. Or Catija. Or would I be better off contacting them myself?

@TheOneWhoMade You'd best use 'contact us'. As you've already done so, I don't see how I, Rob or Catija could be of any help anymore.

Well, I appreciate your time at least.

10:48 PM
@Tinkeringbell I'm now making an attempt to contact an SO mod. Thank you for your time.
Hello, ArtOfCode.
I believe you arrived a little late.

@TheOneWhoMade @Tinkeringbell the reason's in your chat account's annotations. I can copy it here, if you want me to (this is a public room)

Well, if you can do that, do you mind me eating dinner first?

sure, just ping when you want me to drop it here

11:06 PM
@ArtOfCode I'm ready.

> They were being a pain on SO, suspended there for 365 days, now they're using SE chat to horde a bunch of ban evasion accounts. Suspended them until their SO site suspension ends. (SO mods see - stackoverflow.com/users/message/46249#46249)

. . .
In all honesty, is there a reputation associated with Kappa and/or Yoki?
I've heard some that Kappa made multiple accounts.

No comment. Talking about other users' reputations or lack thereof would be unfair to them.

True enough.
@ArtOfCode I'm requesting an IP check be run. If this requires confirmation from the rest of the mod team, I'll gladly attempt an appeal.

11:25 PM
status-unable

So I'll need to contact a CM?

I'm not an SO mod; you need to talk to them. I will say, though, that checking IPs was almost certainly done as part of their original investigation before suspending you.

Well, thank you for your time.
Hope we meet again, on better terms.
@ArtOfCode Farewell?
