@Tinkeringbell so what is that, basically a soft "do not swear" rule?

this place has a bit of a rep for rough edges.

sounds doable this is mostly a work-grade chatroom anyways

It seems like the polar opposite to me.
But then again, I come from places where the f-word is a curse, not the j-word.
So I really don't get the culture sometimes.

right
you don't
you really should.

The more polite and benign I try to be, the more aggressive people get.

cause you've been on this for an extended period of time, and really...

@JourneymanGeek You were the one who brought it up. :/

eh, no?

Rob
@JourneymanGeek - I'm not distressed that there was a tone, or about anything. You don't want it. That's OK.

It's a bit of a deviation from my normal chat patterns with friends too

I've always been talking about generalisms
I'm talking about what this room needs to be - and how its a process where I'm trying to work with people

In our communal discord you can probably assume 40% of a conversation are curses or faux insults, but sometimes you gotta drop that stuff

@andmyself I guess so. It's just so weird to me.
See when I grew up, my parents drew the line between sh*t (a swear word) and cr*p (an informal and maybe unprofessional word, but not a curse).
And j*rk was not even on the radar.

right.
@forest I think we've had multiple gentle warnings to drop it

@JourneymanGeek OK, because you keep bringing it up, and then kicking me when I reply, I'll ignore you for my own safety.
ANYWAY, new topic

@forest Drop it means drop it. Please don't do that.

Ah, nevermind.

@forest why? Do share!

@ShadowWizard I don't want to get kicked, so no.

@forest so I get it that you found what you were looking for, and it's NSFT?
