What tags are and how do they work
Tags exist to connect experts to questions and not for SEO (they are used to an extent for the latter, though). This includes:

Yeah, I imagine people will go `where post,tags like '%<java>%' and while that might lead to success you better use the other relations in that case. So that is why I prefer to at least mention that structure.
Concerning this, I often use something like Text LIKE '%<##tagName##>%' when I want to look into PostHistory and I want to include the situation that the tag no longer exists.

But since I learned about it (probably in this room), when I look for existing tags, I use the PostTags table.
Or another thing is to find questions have only a single tag. (It is useful when burninating tags - before that, one should make sure that there will be no questions with no tags.)
