@ShadowWizard Thanks for letting me know. OTOH, is there some site in the SE network this room would be reasonably associated with?
As mentioned a few times, the "old room" is never shown in a sidebar of any sites. So other than people who already know about the room, nobody notices when something new is posted.
The new room was made in hope to help with this problem.
Just for comparison - the other rooms I've linked to show total of 900 messages (in about 600 days) and 620 messages (in cca 1600 days). Let's hope this room will be more active than that.
An alternative would be to make some of the big sites the parent site the of SEDE room...?
OTOH, users who are interested in SEDE queries are typically at least a bit experienced on some SE sites, so perhaps it's not too much to expect that such a user would already be eligible for the association bonus.
Maybe it's just my impression, but the thing that bothered me a bit about the other room was that usually when somebody asks some SEDE-related question there, they got no response. So I wanted to find out whether there is a place where the room would be more noticeable.
But perhaps it's better to ask such questions directly on MSE and not in chat...?
Thing is, while I'm one of the top answerers in the SEDE tag on MSE, I only visited the other SEDE room if I wanted to get hold of Tim. I'm not sure why I never considered to visit that room more regularly, maybe because I was busy enough with SOCVR and the Tavern and maybe because it didn't appear to be an active support room. The Tavern also does get SEDE support questions now and then.
