Quick question for Chrome users for a repro: if you go to SEDE, create a new query ( print 'hello' should work) and then run it, under the edit box a link called "permalink" should appear. Can you click it?

@rene are you perhaps looking for Sloshy to adopt this room...?
@rene yes, Chrome 105.0.5195.129 (Official Build) stable (64-bit), iPhone 12 mini
not my primary mobile browser, but since you ask about Chrome, that's what I used
I did not log in to SEDE so I had to solve a CAPTCHA; not sure if this is relevant

That is what I do as well
@tripleee do you have a non-chromium based browser as well that you can try it on?
@rene No, Edge, 105.0.1343.33 (Official build) (64-bit), Windows 10

@rene yes, Firefox 104.2 (17725), iPhone 12 mini

@rene yes, Firefox 104.0.2 (64-bit), Windows 10

@rene yes, Safari (dunno, up to date), iPhone 12 mini

@rene yes, Chrome 104.0.5112.102 (Official Build) (64-bit), Windows 10

IOS 15.6.1 so apparently that's my Safari version number as well

surrounded by Windows 10 users!? I thought this was a technical community...?

well, I have Android, though I don't SEDEing from there, but let's see...

@tripleee In my defense: I do run WSL with Ubuntu ...

9:54 AM
@rene yes, Chrome 105.0.5195.136, Android 12 :/

when you grow older, maybe ask a parent or an older sibling for help

@rene yes, Firefox 82.0 (64-bit, haha...), Windows 10
@MetaAndrewT. + 104.0.2 (64-bit)
repro'd on Edge Version 105.0.1343.33 (Official build) (64-bit), Windows 10...

@MetaAndrewT. now that is weird. So your Chrome doesn't repro but Edge does? That is on the same box, right?

yes, really weird, after inspecting further, both Chrome and Edge have the same div overlaying issue, but I could just click passing through it on Chrome but not Edge

10:10 AM
Well, I can click pass it on the single pixel that isn't covered by the div ... not really an awesome UX ...

ah, yes, need pixel-perfect execution for expert runners on Edge
*1-pixel width on the most left, not 1-pixel
it's far easier to repro with 'hide sidebar >>' because it's completely overlaid on Edge, impossible to click

right.

10:27 AM
if that's the issue, I did have some trouble reaching it on Chrome, but thought I had simply fat-fingered it on my first attempts

@rene yes on three browsers (Safari 16, FF 104, Chrome 105) on macOS 12.6
Interestingly enough, I wasn't logged in on Chrome but didn't have to pass a captcha.

Maybe you still had a cookie / localstorage entry that qualified you as being human ...

10:52 AM
It might recognize my IP address, but still ...

1 hour later…
12:02 PM
yeah, I guess IP is related. I got captcha when testing the first time with Chrome on Windows 10 and Android 12, but then nothing on FF and Edge on Windows

12:36 PM
Not working in Edge as well. Think Edge copy the Chrome engine, so making sense.
