I'd waited a few days for update latency, never expected a whole week though.

@uhoh ha! Yeah, IIRC it takes 4 hours or so to do a full refresh of all SEDE databases. You don't want that performance hit too often ...
and weekends are a bit slower so it makes sense to schedule during that quiet period
Maybe I will write something for the API as this: api.stackexchange.com/docs/… does have the hotness event.
that will be live then
