Only now I noticed that SEDE also has its own tutorial: data.stackexchange.com/tutorial
I was a bit curious to see how active moderators are on local meta.
It was easy to modify this to find the number of all posts using COUNT: Number of posts by Mathematics moderators.
And by replacing COUNT with MAX I got: Most recent posts by Mathematics moderators.
The above only displays Post.Id/post link. What should I do if I want to get also some other information about the most recent post by the specific mod (CreationDate, Score, ...)?
Is the way to do this simply creating an auxiliary similar to the query described above and the somehow use new SELECT on that table?
This was my attempt - I do not know whether it is very clumsy: data.stackexchange.com/meta.math/query/890542/…
Maybe there are better and more efficient ways to do something like that.

looking...

I have already mentioned that I learned mostly from looking at queries made by other users. Probably a more systematic approach would be to find some SQL tutorial/book and start with learning some basics...
Let's hope that at some point I find time to do that.
I suppose that most things I asked here are noob questions.

@Martin yes, it is pretty good. While there is some plan to improve its discoverability trello.com/c/ofvzZDrH/… that has slipped the 6 to 8 weeks mark by a few weeks ...
@Martin don't worry, they are interesting and you show an attempt so +1 from me ...

WHYT :-)
It's quite bad that I recognize some Stack Exchange memes :-(
Sorry, I'll have to leave now - but I'll be back a bit later this afternoon.

@Martin using a table variable is certainly an option but you could also use a Common Table Expression if you have some subqueries that you don't want to inline in the main query: data.stackexchange.com/meta.math/query/890544/…
I would have to lookup what the exact impact but I expect the table variable to be a bit heavy on memory. For this small set that is not an issue. A table var is normally used when you want to sent a ROWSET into an function or stored procedure.
You might want to support this:

Q: Please provide a Moderators table in the Data Explorer

Awesome PoodlesModerators are special, privileged users who should serve as an example to the rest of us. Therefore, it is natural to want to query behaviors and statistics about these model users, Like I did, for example, when researching this question. Unfortunately, there is no way to determine moderators ...

Thanks for the improved query. The next time I want to do something similar, I'll know what to do.
