2 starred post. The master plan to take over the starboard is working.
^ sorry, @Bart

Does Nick Craver have a public (SE) email address? All I can find is his twitter, but I'm not much of a Twitter user.

You realize that the only reason for your stars is that I'm allowing it @SPArchaeologist?

@Bart You are getting old, @Bart. And the rule of two tells me that I will rule the starboard togheter with my young sith alcolyte @ShadowWizard

You could ping him @Stijn?

@Bart doesn't appear in the ping list. I'll try inviting him to a new room.

2:25 PM
Otherwise I'd say it's craver@stackoverflow

@Bart thanks :)

@SPArchaeologist So Spa and Sha are going to be the successors of old Bart, I see.

@InfiniteRecursion And when we do, all this glasses will disappear. All of you... only pony ears, wings and horns will be tollerated.

@SPArchaeologist Taking over is overrated and lonely and boring.

Don't give away my plan @Unihedron. I'm trying to bore them to death. This in a surprising parallel to my personal life ...

2:31 PM
Oh!

@Unihedron I know, but @DroidDev is away, Suhosin is away too, so you will have to keep me here until somepony comes around

drafts: If I'm truly Bart's sock, then I wouldn't expose his plan... Maybe I am really his sock and he is using me to cast reverse psychology... But if not and I exposed his plan, then now he will have a new plan... ok... figure out if I am really Bart's sock, then figure out if he has another plan

If you are trying to bore people @Bart, you aren't doing a very good job :D

@bjb568 Dealing with 1+cos(7x)^2 as an instance of chain rule is weird. The derivative of sum is the sum of derivatives. And the derivative of 1 is 0. So you can cut that one instance of chain out.

@WeaponofChoice what's the name of "the derivative of sum is the sum of derivatives" theory? sry imma nub

2:34 PM
@Uni, one eye cannot be a sock of a pair of glasses. First find the other eye, then we will consider...

user259867
@bjb568 The rest makes sense. Although for future purposes of integration you should now that cos(a)^2 = (1+cos(2a))/2. This makes 1+cos(7x)^2 = 1.5 + 0.5*cos(14*x), sparing you another instance of chain rule.

@InfiniteRecursion it's a quality ...

user259867
@Unihedron Linearity of derivative.

@WeaponofChoice Thank you!

@Unihedron "But it's so simple. All I have to do is divine from what I know of you: are you the sort of man who would put the poison into his own goblet or his enemy's? "
"Now, a clever man would put the poison into his own goblet, because he would know that only a great fool would reach for what he was given. I am not a great fool, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you. But you must have known I was not a great fool. You would have counted on it, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me."

@Weap you are still a care bear at heart...

If bjb throws his maths homework in here again, I guess you won't care from now on...just nuke him with your weapon of choice

@InfiniteRecursion he's a little bit of this, a little bit of that.

@InfiniteRecursion I don't need care bear. I need ponies. Two different series.

@Bart Give your trumpet a break ;)
@Bart Like me

@Bart You may have a problem then. Because I am there to make them smile.

Q: Parameterised Constructors

vba4allFinally, Parameterised Constructors are possible in VBA. Background: One rainy day, I came up with an idea: take a static class and expose one property as default (like it was done in the Reverse for each loop for the .Item() property. This time however, I thought I'll make a PieceOfMe() Get Pr...

hmmm... I thought they just were to lazy to hit the shift key

@TGMCians Yay! Congrats :)

3:01 PM
thanks :)

@vba4all no haters here :)

@InfiniteRecursion why no hatters? you mean that I should change my hallowen costume? I already found the hat, and already done the "Mad" part too....

@vba4all VBA? Boo! Hiss!

@Stijn It is a typo, it must be. No VBA ever existed or will exist, only VB which is just a C# local dialect.

3:21 PM
@SPArchaeologist Then we should you send you to the wonderland, mad hatter

@InfiniteRecursion I am not already there?? Isn't that pair of floating glasses just the Cheshire cat?
wrong turn after Canterlot then.

user259867
sigh I will never catch up with gnat in the number of downvotes. 34872 downvotes on a site with 33109 questions...

<evil> get him suspended </evil>

@WeaponofChoice but many of the posts he downvoted are likely deleted? For example on SO I have 9000 downvotes, but only about 1700 of those posts I downvoted aren't deleted.

@WeaponofChoice with the number of votes per day limited to 40 (?) it's extremely hard to catch up

user259867
3:29 PM
Probably, many. BTW you can do 80 per day by recovering the votes cast on deleted posts, when the cleaning script runs at 3:00 UTC.

user259867
But gnat knows that too, so that doesn't help much.

@WeaponofChoice correct, plus if you downvote NAA's or any other post that gets deleted by owner/community , you get those votes back as soon as they are deleted.
I've had like over 115 votes in a day before.
@cVplZ This is not the place to address that issue. — David Richerby 55 secs ago

@cVplZ Surprisingly close: on Math I have 9097, of them 1454 on non-deleted posts.

You mean the room he invaded.
It was peaceful and sane, but now, he just sits there, staring... always staring...

and now you're getting crazy from watching him stare at you

Sam
Me? Me no going crazyz, me sane, sane... ;)

I have a plan.
Wait, it's not going to work out.

@Unihedron oh

Ohh, zigi still stares in chatrooms? He left the tavern quite some time ago...so I forgot about him.

hehe
I flagged an offensive message of ziGi and that^ happened now.

Uni, closed.

Thanks!

@WeaponofChoice Whatever, I just felt like writing it out. Of course, I'd use the simpler Newtonian prime method for that normally.

As an aside: The Wikipedia page explains how the moon formed from the debris in a relatively quick period (between a month to a century). I once heard it took about 70 years (from a Skeptics Guide to the Universe podcast, so not a peer-reviewed source). Imagine living on Earth back then, and having your grandparents say "Ah, the moon isn't like it was when I was a kid. It's all in a single lump these days. It used to be spread across the sky..." — Oddthinking ♦ May 12 '12 at 8:17

@Pham wtf is this linking to? piv.pivpiv.dk? @sam
on a related question, why don't I see that question posted in pham's normal room?

@Andy You've passed a Low Quality Posts HQ report audit!

@Unihedron ?

@Andy Sam gave me a sense of humor in the last commit.

The question doesn't exist. Also, the user doesn't exist on SO, while Pham shouldn't be possible to get user's link if that's the case
