Usually it's "here's a new development, which may change how you interact with these sites"

I'm off to bed, later...

@zaq I kinda like that it's featured. It's cool, and it's a ton of work done by volunteers. Everybody should know about it.
As opposed to, say, featuring Joel's political anxiety attacks.

Okay, maybe feature a post about SOCVR next...

@zaq because they are taking automatic action on all sites? You don't think that's something those sites would like to know about? Considering sites like The Workplace have their auto deletion amount set to 3 that'd be a big deal for them for sure.
I think the charcoal folks already knew about that change and so built around it, but that doesn't mean they'll know about other such changes to other sites. That's just one example.

What's that thing you can type in comments that inserts a link to how-to-ask?
@zaq If you make a baller post about it, maybe they will.

There are 114 job titles in total, the most common being "Developer" (x30). And 85 of them are held by one person. (I mean each... not all 85 by one. Although Nick Craver comes close.)

Two ways to read that, one more entertaining than the other.

As long as they are unique, one can replace job titles with names, saving the trouble of remembering both things.

The answer Who are the Community Managers, and what do they do? does not match the company page. Tim Post removed himself from the answer, but Abby stays there despite having identical job title. Hmm.

user315433
Perhaps the list in the answer should be replaced by a link to company page, which contains the same links to profiles? Having both seems redundant.

Then we gotta re-do the list if the company page gets redesigned and the link breaks. If we weren't lazy, we'd just update the answer.

@grgarside - I've not been following it myself, but the spam recently has got beyond a joke, so I'm up for anything that can remove it sooner. I'm really hoping that by signing myself up for it that is realised - I'm not in any way positioned to join in with the actual 'smart' analysis - way beyond my skills - but if allowing my account to participate in the filtering will aid the overall effort, I'm proud to be a part of it.

The Smoke Detector and whoever is currently active on the site manage to catch the spam posts rather quickly, usually they are gone within minutes. And while having a separate queue for bot-flagged spam would be helpful to verify detection accuracy it seems that right now the number of false positives is zero.

Happiness is quickly fleeting.

I found an example which is from me: stackoverflow.com/documentation/android/1552/…

@rekire that whole Docs rep calc is riddled with bugs and I imagine it is of the same quality of Q/A rep calc in the early days that needed a recalc now and then as well to sort out strange stuff. Give it 6 to 8 to resolve ...
And if it is not bugs then it is unclear functional specs
