5 years ago today, the list Recent feature changes to Stack Exchange was created by devinb. It's the second-most favorited question on Meta, trailing only Stack Exchange clones.

user259867
Which surprised me... what's the point of favoriting the list of clones? "Oh, there's a 123th variation of the familiar Q&A software, I have to check that out."?

I HATE YOU VOTE-CAP!
I always vote-cap almost in the middle of the day.
Was there an FR trying to push this annoying limit?

79
Q: Revisiting the rep cap (yes, again)

Jon SkeetTL;DR: The rep cap system isn't as effective or fair as it might be. I'm proposing one alternative for comment, and would welcome other suggestions too. Disclaimers I'm pretty sure the rep cap hits me harder than anyone else (pretty often over 1000 points in a day), so a change could easily be ...

Vote-cap, not rep-cap.

Ohhh. That.
I made a false association between that question, and your earlier comment about getting mortarboard on meta.

3:53 PM
I'm not begging for rep or anything. Couldn't have dreamed a +85 answer in my wilder dreams.
But voting is different.
I've been trying to understand meta, so I occasionally read stuff here.

Nobody understands meta

But it's just absurd to limit someone with 2k votes cast and who has vote-capped like, 40 times with the same 40 votes per day again.
@Bart The more I've read, the more I've reached that conclusion.
Some +10-something is an exact dupe of -10-something. Blows up your mind.
