A: You're doing it wrong: A plea for sanity in the Low Quality Posts queue

Alexis KingI agree with this in principle. If an answer is just flat-out wrong, that does not in and of itself qualify it for deletion. An incorrect answer does not make it low quality. There can be some very high-quality answers that are simply factually incorrect. Plenty of answers exist in a grey area—a...

Perl is correct

Q: Should Spam posts be edited?

Mad ScientistI noticed that the posts of the recent spam surge on AskUbuntu were all edited by community members into something like EDITED - REMOVED SPAM ANSWER or similar. While I understand why the users have done this and I too don't want to leave the spam content visible for longer than absolutely...

Might keep that on hand, couldn't find anything else much either. Would be good to have something a bit more official that includes a few of the concerns in comments (smaller sites etc) even though of course it's not true because of the 15 versus 3k rep needed.
Anyway better head off.

hahaha something very... unique just happened
I was at my Odyssey of the Mind performance
we were setting up our backdrop and structure and stuff
(we were doing the balsa wood construction project)
the area we were performing in was a gymnasium
the walls had pads on them
one of the pads spontaneously fell off, ONTO OUR STRUCTURE
and now it's borken -_-

The pad?

s/it's/the structure/ :P
they say this is the first time this has happened in 4 years

Makes you wonder what happened 4 years ago...

no, as in this is the first time this has happened, and they've had 4 years of experience :P

It the structure still fixeable? Or is it beyond repair?

no it's completely broken

:(

soooo now we have to finish our backup structure (the one that was supposed to be for state) by 2:30 (and this structure is already overweight, and it's unfinished)

update: so apparently it does not matter one bit what score we get at region, since we are effectively guaranteed to pass to state since there are a total of three teams at the region level. We could literally do nothing for the entire 8 minutes and still pass to state

@Doorknob Well, congratulations with reaching the state final!

4:28 PM
@Doorknob If you literally did nothing, you would probably get a frown from some people who want to ensure people are entertained.

there's still world after state. I'd say we have a, uhh, 5% chance to get there? :P
yeah, we're actually doing our performance obviously.
