@Frank For whenever you're around. I'm done for the night anyway! The button to edit my comment on a meta question stays "live" even after the allowed editing time has passed. It's blue, I can press on it, it opens up my comment, but when I try to save the edited version, I get the message telling me my comment can only be edited for five minutes. Is that by design or a bug?

I think I like this part better:
OH: "The idea with close vote aging is that close votes age..."
@JasonPunyon 1900 words I write, and that was the takeaway? I'm going back to bed.

user259867
To be fair, I thought that post was intentionally long-winded, to reduce the chance that someone will parse it all and state an informed counterargument.

user259867
I have a peculiar way of being fair, I guess.

@FamousBlueRaincoat Or was it "I don't know what I'm talking about, so here's a bunch of words to make me look smart"? :P

@FamousBlueRaincoat you're... pretty perceptive. It took me almost 24 hours straight to gather that together, and I wasn't completely sure where I was going to end up when I started (hence the original title) - so I didn't exactly expect too many people to put everything together.

@Shog9 24 hours straight? How many cups of coffee was this?

Q: Are questions in Triage shown on the real-time tab?

Famous Blue RaincoatQuestions selected for Triage are not shown on site's front page. Do they appear on the network-wide real-time question list? (Reason for asking: spam-detecting bots rely on the realtime question feed.)

A: Are questions in Triage shown on the real-time tab?

Shog9They do right now. They may not always in the future.

@Shog9 Hmm, ok.

@hichris123 btw, you know that page samples questions from SO, right?

@Shog9 That means...?

@hichris123 IOW, even though questions in review aren't explicitly excluded right now, you don't see every question posted.

2:32 AM
huh, ok.

I mean, otherwise the entire page would be SO
pretty much all the time

Makes me wonder... it always seems to miss the low quality ones.
Does it filter based on the quality score?

sampling is funny that way
not like the questions are exactly stellar
but, you're gonna miss some of the crap purely by chance

@Shog9 True, however, a feeling in me swears there's been a change in the algorithm. We missed so many of those gmail/hotmail support spam questions on SO -- see chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/message/19947919#19947919 & the message after it.

@FamousBlueRaincoat Initial feedback: Your topbar indicators are a bit wide for me. Combined with the mod tools, they hide my shiny badges because there's no room on the top bar! (And introduce unnecessary clutter)

@Doorknob Badges are hidden by design, when the topbar indicators are on. Because I hate them. The indicators can be turned on/off individually, or altogether.

Do you love DD's style too?

Wow, every single paragraph is on one line except for D.A.'s second comment, which just barely makes a second line. This is incredibly difficult to read (and I'd expect long paragraphs to be even worse)....

Great!
I love it!

I don't want to waste space.
That's what I was thinking. On a huge monitor, the puny 1kpx of SE doesn't suffice. And large margins are welcome (at least I like it). I guess the huge line length problem can be solved by using a complex grid with small tiles, large margins, and large(r) text. — bjb568 Mar 17 '14 at 7:30
