If you get post-banned because of a shared work-place IP (i.e. because of the behaviour of other users on that network), does that ban still carry over to your home IP?

Since I joined Stack Overflow I couldn't post answers to any questions, not even my own questions. Is there something I should do in order to be allowed to do this? Everytime I try, I get this We are no longer accepting answers from this account. See this meta post to learn more.

By providing my own 'big fat notice', the 'merge' was managed all by our lonesome selves. As of 1:15 AM this morning the "Everything Python" room was frozen after 2 weeks of inactivity. The regulars have found their way across to the 'original' room, and I guess the old transcripts will forever ...

Missed the opportunity to retract the vote before it was locked, so edited to be able to undo it.

That's about the only explanation I have that would make the edit kind of sensible.
