My boss keeps reporting to me that he sees a certain bug in the 2.0b6 version of our product... I cannot reproduce it. But he keeps calling me into my office, pointing at his screen and saying "Josh, look it's broken!" and sure enough, it is! But I cannot reproduce on my own for the life of me! >:o

I did once take a giant bite out of... something, I was trying to remember as you were telling your story, but I have forgotten it, but anyway grabbed whatever it was from the fridge and took a giant bite without rally looking, and only while chewing did I see the piece still in my hand was covered in mold...
So I can kinda relate, but, a few (more) beers later and the taste had vanished...
I have eaten small bits of mold previously due to poor attention on my part, and I can say with some certainty that bacon grease is about a million times worse.

@PopularDemand It... is hard to define for me. I never really fit in. At first I figured it was just a user editable encyclopedia, what wikipedia eventually became. But the users and moderators focused so much on writing for writing's sake, that it turned into more of an unorganized blog or writer's notebook.
(really, that doesn't even come close to doing it justice... But it's kinda like trying to explain The Beatles to a pop-music fan who has somehow never heard of them)
Like a mix between Wikipedia and Encyclopedia Dramatica. Then, at some point, they got Copyright Religion and the whole thing pretty much went to hell - original thought isn't all its cracked up to be.
@PopularDemand Cooking is fun! I know a lot of programmers enjoy it - following lists of deterministic instructions, and finding out the kitchen is not deterministic seems to scratch some sort of itch for me.
@Pollyanna following instructions is boring. Both in programming and in cooking. Who needs consistent results, when there's such an endless variety of interesting mistakes to be made!
